Identity and Purpose
Patrika Aranyak: A Journal of Literature and Humanities is an online scholarly journal published by Patrika Literary Collective, India. Its Research Section provides an independent academic space for original inquiry, critical debate and interdisciplinary exchange.
The Research Section is editorially and technically distinguished from the journal’s Creative Section. Creative writing is selected through editorial assessment and is not represented as scholarly peer-reviewed research.

The journal particularly welcomes responsible scholarship engaging with Indian, Himalayan, regional, multilingual and underrepresented cultural contexts while remaining open to globally relevant humanities research.
Publishing Model
- Frequency
- Two issues annually, normally in March and September.
- Review
- Eligible research manuscripts undergo double-anonymous review by at least two independent reviewers.
- Review timeframe
- Normally 12–16 weeks; complex reviews or revisions may require longer.
- Access
- Published research is available online without a reader subscription or access fee.
- Research licence
- Accepted research articles are intended for publication under CC BY 4.0, with authors retaining copyright and granting the journal first-publication rights.
Ownership and Management
The journal is owned and published by Patrika Literary Collective. Editorial decisions are made on scholarly merit, relevance, originality and ethical compliance. Commercial services, donations and author payments do not determine peer-review outcomes or publication decisions.

Language, Audience and Access
Research manuscripts are considered in Hindi and English. To strengthen discoverability and responsible scholarly communication, published articles should include clear titles, abstracts and keywords in English; Hindi-language articles should also provide these elements in Hindi. Readers may access and download published material directly from the journal website, subject to the licence stated on each article.
