From the Forest of Imagination: Voice, Memory and Creative Expression

The Creative Section of Patrika Aranyak: A Journal of Literature and Humanities is a bilingual literary space for original writing in Hindi and English. It publishes poetry, fiction and literary non-fiction shaped by imagination, lived experience, cultural memory, nature and the varied realities of human life.

The section welcomes both established and emerging writers. It values originality, emotional and intellectual depth, linguistic sensitivity and a distinctive creative voice. Every work is presented in its original language; a translated title is neither fabricated nor required merely for publication.

Through literary exchange across languages, regions and generations, the section seeks to nurture thoughtful writing and create an accessible meeting place for readers and writers.

Forms of Creative Engagement include:

  • Poetry: Original poems in Hindi or English, including lyrical, reflective, narrative and experimental forms
  • Fiction: Short stories and other concise fictional forms grounded in imagination and human experience
  • Literary Non-Fiction: Personal essays, memoir, travel writing, reflective prose and culturally rooted narratives

Editorial Principles:

  • Originality: Submissions must be the writer’s original, previously unpublished work.
  • Language and Voice: Hindi and English works are considered equally, and each work retains its original linguistic identity.
  • Editorial Review: Selections are based on literary merit, clarity, relevance and suitability for the journal.
  • Inclusiveness: The section encourages diverse voices, experiences, regions and literary traditions.
  • Open Access: Published works remain freely accessible to readers through the journal website.

कल्पना के अरण्य से: स्वर, स्मृति और सृजनात्मक अभिव्यक्ति

पत्रिका अरण्यक: साहित्य और मानविकी की पत्रिका का सृजनात्मक अनुभाग हिन्दी और अंग्रेजी में मौलिक साहित्यिक लेखन के लिए एक द्विभाषी मंच है। इसमें कल्पना, जीवनानुभव, सांस्कृतिक स्मृति, प्रकृति और मानवीय जीवन की विविध वास्तविकताओं से उपजी कविता, कथा-साहित्य तथा साहित्यिक कथेत्तर रचनाएँ प्रकाशित की जाती हैं।

यह अनुभाग प्रतिष्ठित और नवोदित—दोनों प्रकार के रचनाकारों का स्वागत करता है। मौलिकता, भावात्मक एवं वैचारिक गहराई, भाषिक संवेदनशीलता और विशिष्ट रचनात्मक स्वर को विशेष महत्व दिया जाता है। प्रत्येक रचना उसकी मूल भाषा में प्रस्तुत की जाती है; केवल प्रकाशन की आवश्यकता के लिए अनुवादित शीर्षक न तो गढ़ा जाता है और न ही अनिवार्य किया जाता है।

विभिन्न भाषाओं, क्षेत्रों और पीढ़ियों के बीच साहित्यिक संवाद के माध्यम से यह अनुभाग विचारशील लेखन को प्रोत्साहित करने तथा पाठकों और रचनाकारों के लिए एक सुलभ साझा मंच निर्मित करने का प्रयास करता है।

प्रमुख सृजनात्मक विधाएँ:

  • कविता: हिन्दी या अंग्रेजी में मौलिक गीतात्मक, चिंतनपरक, कथात्मक और प्रयोगधर्मी कविताएँ
  • कथा-साहित्य: कल्पना और मानवीय अनुभव पर आधारित कहानियाँ तथा अन्य संक्षिप्त कथात्मक रूप
  • साहित्यिक कथेत्तर लेखन: वैयक्तिक निबंध, संस्मरण, यात्रा-वृत्तांत, चिंतनपरक गद्य और संस्कृति-आधारित आख्यान

संपादकीय सिद्धांत:

  • मौलिकता: प्रस्तुत रचना लेखक की मौलिक और पूर्व में अप्रकाशित रचना होनी चाहिए।
  • भाषा और स्वर: हिन्दी तथा अंग्रेजी की रचनाओं को समान महत्व दिया जाता है और प्रत्येक रचना की मूल भाषिक पहचान सुरक्षित रखी जाती है।
  • संपादकीय समीक्षा: चयन साहित्यिक गुणवत्ता, स्पष्टता, प्रासंगिकता और पत्रिका के अनुरूपता के आधार पर किया जाता है।
  • समावेशिता: विविध स्वरों, अनुभवों, क्षेत्रों और साहित्यिक परंपराओं को प्रोत्साहित किया जाता है।
  • मुक्त पहुँच: प्रकाशित रचनाएँ पत्रिका की वेबसाइट पर पाठकों के लिए निःशुल्क उपलब्ध रहती हैं।
